Porter House

Overall, I would say this is a very good place. Went on a Wednesday evening and the place was very busy with what I assume we’re holiday office parties– large tables. The kitchen may have been slammed because we waited well over an hour for our food order. Staff was pleasant enough but made no mention of the delay. Our table ordered burgers and they all looked very good. They offer high end burgers and were well presented. Salad was very good and since this was my first UK experience for drinks, the beer selections were equally tasty. So, food; very nice, atmosphere; hopping, service; need to be careful.

Lovely light room, loads of space at the bar tables and great polite service. There are a couple of rooms upstairs you can stay in, and as the owners are still the same in sure the stay will be as good as last time. They have a new name and were refurbished about 3 months ago.
