Excellent place to buy from. This place had the biggest selection of display furniture all under one roof and their prices were really low. Highly recommended! Delivery guys were good too.

We originally went to see a corner sofa in the Worksop store one Sunday afternoon. After seeing their listing for three of the same model of sofa on a well-known Internet auction site. We found a few light marks and scuffs on the sofa we first saw, but liked it nonetheless as they weren’t immediately visible. When we questioned about the number of sofas available, the salesman told us that there was also the same model sofa available in their Sheffield store and he couldn’t understand why the auction site had three listed at Worksop. He kindly offered to drive through to the Sheffield store whilst we followed on in our own car to show us the other available sofa. After quite a long drive, we arrived in Sheffield to see the shop with shutters down, but being as it was a Sunday and the salesman at Worksop explained no one would be at the Sheffield store to meet us, this was understandable. He then took us inside the shop and showed us the other sofa available. It was dimly lit and(as mentioned) their shutters were down. We didn’t notice at first that the sofa in the Sheffield store was a sort of ‘chestnut’ brown(as opposed to the ‘chocolate’ brown sofa in the Worksop store) it was only after the salesman pointed this out to us that it had a slight tint of red in the fabric at certain angles. After sitting on the edges of the cushions(that’s about all we could get to as it was shoved the wrong way into a corner with another sofa above it on brackets). Comparing it to the other one we decided we liked the chocolate one in Worksop better and made the purchase by leaving a deposit there and then, stating we definitely wanted the chocolate sofa in Worksop and not this particular Sheffield one. The salesman made a note on the invoice(‘From Worksop’) and agreed we would get the sofa we wanted. He then mentioned that they had a chair to match the sofa if we were interested. We said no as we probably won’t have room for it(He said to let them know if we changed our mind as it was the exact same colour match as the sofa at Worksop). We went away happy in the knowledge that we’d purchased the sofa we wanted and had arranged a delivery date for it to come. We had stated to the salesman that we would like an afternoon delivery as my partner would be home from work at 2:15 and leaving one of us to collect the children from school. The salesman wrote on the invoice ‘2:30 delivery’. My partner phoned the store that morning to make sure all was ok and was informed that the sofa had been leather protected(which we paid extra for), is all wrapped and out for delivery today and to expect them around 2:30. After sitting and waiting until that evening for the sofa to be delivered(this was after yet another phone call to S2 at around 4:45pm wondering where our sofa was, We were told that the drivers are behind schedule but it should be there by 6pm6pm came and went). Eventually the sofa did turn up, bearing in mind that it was evening time and that the light was fading. The deliverymen brought the sofa in(catching the wall and leather on the sofa several times) and placed it in its spot. Also(kindly) agreeing for a nominal charge to deliver my old sofa elsewhere. All well and good we thought and sat down to enjoy our new corner sofa, thinking we’d square the position of it up the next day. After coming downstairs the next morning(the sun on the front of the house) we immediately discovered we’d been brought the chestnut sofa, which was the one we didn’t want. Obviously the fading light of the previous day and the lighting in our living room hadn’t revealed the shade difference at the time of delivery. Ringing the manager up of S2 Sofas, we explained what had happened and was immediately met with a very defensive and somewhat irrational voice. My partner was called a liar and told in no uncertain terms that they HAD delivered the correct sofa and were 100% sure of this. Adding that it should have been mentioned at the point of delivery, to which we agreed yes but due to failing light, it wasn’t noticed. In our defence, when we viewed the sofa in Sheffield, the salesman had to take a photo on his mobile phone to display the shade difference in sofas due to the bad lighting(the red colour really stood out on the flash on the phone, just like now when the sun shines on it through the window). After a phone conversation with a somewhat irate store manager(who even threatened to call the police if we showed up at his store) we were offered a solution in which IF they managed to get in stock the same model AND same shade sofa, that they would swap the two over for us, which may take a matter of weeks. We found this unacceptable and had already passed up on several other sofas to accept the one from S2, which we(quite rightly so) had assumed would be the right one! No refund was offered, even though we offered to hire a van and deliver the sofa back at our own cost! To add insult to injury, upon repositioning the corner
