Reflex The 80’s Bar

A decent bar but I wouldn’t go out of the way to stop off here.
The music is good and the drinks are reasonably priced but the bouncers are very fussy and rude.
Inside it can be edgy as the other reviewer says and I’ve had it like that a few times when I went in. Sometimes its been fine though just depends on the night and who goes in.

I have only visited Reflex on one occasion, preferring the 70’s version, Flares. However earlier this year Flares moved into the downstairs room at Reflex so I decided to pay a visit.
One of the things I liked about Flares was the fun, chilled out vibe created by the clientele, however I did not feel this at all in Reflex. The atmosphere felt quite threatening and edgy, something that was certainly not helped by that fact that there was a police van stationed outside!!! Also, the bouncers were very unfriendly.
.The music was exactly what you would expect from an 80’s bar and the drinks were not too expensive by club standards, but the bad atmosphere in there put a downer on the night for me. It may just have been a bad night, but I have heard similar stories from other people.

It should be a really good place to boogie of a Saturday night but a number of things seriously let it down.
Firstly, the bouncers have been less than courteous on every occasion we have visited, bordering on downright rude on occasions.
Secondly, the clientèle it attracts is very mixed and this doesn’t lend itself to a good night if you’re young, reasonably attractive and female as you’re forever getting groped at by old men.
The only decent thing about it is the music, but they seem to play the same playlist in the same order every week.
