This is one of the main student pubs in town, last time I went it cost £14.95 for four drinks, one was water. Took ages to get served, but they do have outdoor seating and it’s always busy when it’s sunny! Girlfriend wanted a Mojito Cocktail but they didn’t have any ice. Not one of my favorite bars in Sheff, but it’s OK. Can’t really remember the music, don’t think they have a DJ just some funky house type stuff playing. Never had anything to eat here, always just been on a busy night out.

Forum is a mecca for Sheffield students but a real mix of people gravitate towards the shops, food and bar located in this vast building. We popped in for lunch due to our favourite Tamper Coffee being fit to burst. Sitting ourselves outside in the sun, it didn’t take us long to realise something was amiss; the buckets with menus/napkins/cutlery were on the tables over there… not here. Turns out we’d plonked ourselves right in the middle of the drinks only section. Making the most of the situation, we stayed and had our drinks here, then sadly had to move inside. Due to the additional seating, they could only handle so many food orders, so had to put some restrictions in. Forgiven. Inside there are large windows and it feels very airy, meaning we weren’t too shut off from the outside world. We had to flag down servers throughout lunch, but it’s such a relaxed place that it felt like the norm. There’s a great range of sandwiches, burgers and bigger meals — they’ve even introduced a fasting menu for those so inclined to go on the 5:2 diet but tease themselves with eating out. I went for the mozzarella, chicken and pesto pannini, a current love affair I’m having, but everyone’s meals looked great; the onion rings were battered and crunchy, plenty for everyone, and the fish finger sandwich looked like the bee’s knees, with proper battered fish rather than breadcrumbed. I can’t comment on pricing but everything seemed to be fair, Northern prices — no complaints here.

The best fish finger sandwich in sheffield. Can’t beat it for a Sunday brunch hangover cure or mis shopping nibbles. Caters for everyone with families in during the day and drinkers in the evening. Perfect meeting place.

Work lunch at The Forum today whilst visiting Sheffield. Had fish & chips which was plentiful and good. Place was packed out(presumably due to people being off work with the strikes) and the staff were struggling to cope

this bar is far too expensive for what it is. there are plenty of better bars within a 1min walk. avoid!!!

It has good moments but generally it’s loud and full of snobby people, no soft furnishing and the walls are tiled so every conversation echoes endlessly around, giving you a headache after 20 minutes. Drink quality is variable but the food is decent.

Utter class. Easily the best bar in Sheffield. Any city in the UK would be happy to boast a bar like this.

The forum is located on Devonshire street, the trendy side of Sheffield city centre. The loyal customer base is varied. It consists of Students, Yuppies and older people. It can get a bit Pretenious and snobby at times at night which is a big turn off, but it’s still a friendly place to hang around most times. Could do worse than come here! Does look like a swimming pool, but i’ll let ‘em off! Really nice in the summer though! I forgot to mention that there’s loads of nice little boutique shops as well, which are worth a visit!

I used to work on the door with tricky trev for about 3.5yrs and probably left in 2003. It was brill back then and the customers were great. Yeh the outside seating does look like a swimming pool, just missing the water. Use to drink leffe on draft when i used to go out to the forum and the weekends they used to have anthony playing funky house all night. Those were the days.

The Forum has always had a great, friendly atmosphere, and is loved by hundreds of loyal customers. The Forum is more than just a restaurant. It has shops hidden behind, and transforms into a great night scene once the sun sets.

Great spot in the summer in particular. Good selection of beers on tap but a bit pricey. Close to the Devonshire Cat, which is a better pub, but it’s a good place for a quick beer or as part of a pub crawl with a few other good bars on Division Street. It has a small outdoor seating area but many chose to sit on the grass on Deveonshire Green next to it. The shops aren’t really my thing but it’s ok if there’s something you’re into in there or if you’re after a speciality or a unique gift.

Not nearly as pretentious as it once was. A good place for a relaxed drink in the afternoon. A nice enough seating set up outside in the summer, giving you a good place to watch the world go by. The drinks range is adequate, the customers varied. The fact that it does look like a swimming pool is a bit of a downside but not that much to stop anyone going. The food they do is slightly above average.

The Forum is situated in the trendy student area of Sheffield which is Division Street. The décor is great, its modern and funky, there is plenty of seating situated around the place which is always a good thing after a few too many drinks. In the day the Forum acts as a café/bar where food is served and at night it is a bar to the hip and funky. The atmosphere is great, everytime I have been in it has been very busy, the only downside is the prices which can be quite steep, but this aside, its a great place to drink. There is also a patio area where you can sit(or stand) outside weather permitting!

Quite expensive for drinks, but a cool atmosphere — a good place to meet up with friends in the day or at night time. Has a nice outside area for the summer months.

Back in t’day, the Forum comprised nothing more than a ground-floor café, poster shop and Dr Martens shop with a couple of clothes shops thrown in for good measure. These days, the smoky little café has been replaced by an über-trendy bar, the Dr Martens shop has was stamped out in the late nineties and there’s a rather snazzy upstairs pool bar called The Common Room. That’s not to say it’s not good though the Forum will always be the place to be. There are some great vintage clothes shops, knick-knack shops and fabulous clothes boutiques, as well as some great music in the bars at the weekends. Proof that things can only get better!

This is at the top end of Divison Street, its a mixture of shops, boutiques, bar, restuarant and the common room/pool room. With the recent redevelopment of Devonshire Green they now have a larger outdoor seating area lookingover the new green. There’s a good selection of beers and drinks available and the food is very good. It does have a good mixture of people that go in here students as well as professionals and a few older people(+50).

Located in the heart of Sheffield’s Devonshire Quarter, the Forum is a cool, bohemian place to shop, eat and drink. The Forum includes numerous boutique stores, a ‘common room’ and the Forum Bar. The summer bar is an ideal place to spend your evenings. In the summer, sit outside on the deck chairs patio that runs on to Devonshire Green. Or, in the winter sit inside cool and laid back bar and enjoy the independant beers that are on offer!

The Forum is a curious place. It’s kinda 5 things in one. During the day you can get food and drinks in the bar/café, but out back there is a maze of shops and boutiques selling all sorts of weird and wonderful things. It also doubles up as a cool place to hang out in the evenings, where they often have small gigs.
