Had a coffee here this morning and sat outside where the sun was shining. Sat people watching and sipped a flat white coffee. Friendly staff and will visit again.

I stayed at the Mercure in Sheffield so I walked across the square to buy my coffee here in the AM. The Caffe Americano was fine as was the Caffe Latte. It was pricey by American standards at 4 dollars a cup given the poor exchange rate. There is a Starbucks nearby but why go there, Caffe Nero is the better option. I did not stay but there is plenty of seating inside as well as outdoor space.

A flavour free strawberry and raspberry ice smoothie in the usual soulless environment. Overpriced at 2.95 too.

I mainly like this branch of Caffe Nero because of where it’s situated and the great views of the city centre that you get here. This café is just opposite St Paul’s hotel and next to the Peace Gardens, so it’s bang in the centre of town. I’ve found the coffee here to be better quality than at some Caffe Nero’s and the staff are always really polite and nice. For instance, they always say goodbye when you leave and are generally helpful. At this branch, I particularly like the hot chocolate Milano, as it tastes nicer and smoother than at other Caffe Neros, I think. As I said before, the best part of this branch is the view. When you go up to the first floor, the completely glass walls, allow you to see across the Peace Gardens and give a wonderful view of the historic Town Hall too. It’s a really perfect and place to relax after shopping and watch the world go by — plus if you get a loyalty card and get it stamped everytime you buy a drink, you get your 10th free.
