Ever wondered how chocolate gets from bean to bar? Throughout 2010, the artisan chocolate company Coco will be running a series of 1 day classes where you can learn all about the chocolate making process. Classes run the last Thursday and Sunday of each month and are limited to 4 people per class so everyone gets hands on tuition from the chocolatier. At £145 per person it’s not cheap but as well as finding out the origins and history of cocoa bean, you get to hand temper chocolate on marble and by machine, make fruit filled chocolate, moulded chocolate and a selection of organic chocolate bars and create rose creams with crystallised rose petals. As an added incentive, students get to take a hamper of chocolate goodies home with them.
