Nice garden, and should be a nice place for dinner. When we went, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in London. The pulled pork bap was all floury bap, with about a toenail of pork. no applesauce as advertised, or chef’s veg selection. had to hassle the harried and incompetent staff and kitchen to get some potatoes(their version of ‘chef’s veg selection’!), sauce and silverware. This is literally like a place out of Gordon’s Kitchen Nightmares. My friend’s fish was greasy and unappetizing. What a waste of a good beer garden. NB: I visited late last year, and my original view somehow disappeared from Qype(interesting!). So it is possible that the place has improved since my visit. I hope so!
Awesome pub garden!!! I was going to a friends wedding celebration and he had reserved an area in the vast rear garden to party. This is a typically gastro-pubby scenario from the street, tucked away on the top of Richmond Hill. Well worth the hike up there from the village!!! Once you go through the main bar and dining room(complete with wooden chairs, patterned funky wallpaper and a massive fireplace) you get the first glipmse of the garden. On the left as you step outside is a covered private area with its own bar, wooden long tables, purple and green striped armchairs and even chandeliers — awesome for inclement weather. Past this a wooden deck is covered in outdoor tables and umbrellas, followed by the lush garden and lawns. At the very rear of the garden a rabbit enclosure kept all the kids busy. There is also a BBQ on the right of the deck where a chef works away on fresh fish, steaks, burgers and whole chickens and pouissins on a rotisse. Prices for lunch /dinner start at £7 — £12.00 and there are loads of choices for wine /beer and usual spirits. A great afternoon, especially when the sun is shining!!!

We came here for Sunday lunch after doing the hell run a few weeks ago. A couple of ales to start, they had a wide selection and I enjoyed both(it was a while ago and I can’t remember what they were). For whatever reason I chose pork for my main(I can’t remember ever choosing pork for Sunday roast before) and was really impressed, it was really moist but tasty vegetables and just the right amount of gravy. It was a shame it was a Sunday as I could easily have settled in for several more beers as the pub was warm and friendly. Good outside smoking area as well
