Nasty place. Smelly, musty premises, food tasteless and mediocre at best, stale, old and rank at worst. Pizza doesn’t come by the yard, either, for the record, but in a very boring oval. The very worst choice for pizza in Richmond. Avoid. (NB, you won’t be able to now … it’s closed down — good job too)

Good finding for good pizza and great salads. I have been several times and with several people every time and everyone has always loved it. It is very casual and relaxed and it never is too busy. The pizzas are really tasty and with a thin base and the salads are great and very filling(for those that want a lighter option) Close to both Richmond centre and Richmond Park, its location is great too.

My girlfriend and I tried to get into Pizza Express but it was packed full so we ended up here. This restaurant’s been here for years and although we live so close we’ve never tried it. The menu consists of mostly pizza but has some pasta and salad dishes available too. We went for pizza’s because when dining in a restaurant called Pizza Al Rollo it’d be silly to try anything else. The twist on this place is that they serve just one pizza per table, not per person, and it’s size depends on how many people there are. So, as there was two of us we each selected our own choice of toppings and they brought out one huge oval shaped pizza with our own toppings at either end. The same goes if you’re on a table of 4 or more, we saw waiters carrying huge 4 person pizzas above their heads to other tables! As well as the show of it all the food tasted great too and it was obviously cooked with fresh ingredients. We were less keen on the sausage on one half of our pizza but that was due to our personal fussiness about sausage. The other half was topped with garlic, chicken and mango. We were feeling pretty daring! This may sound like a weird combination but it truly was great. Very tasty and the toppings complimented each other well. For dessert we shared a chocolate brownie, which was unfortunately a lot more like sponge cake than a brownie but tasted great anyway. I was really looking forward to a proper brownie though. Pro’s: Pizza quality & taste, location(close to Richmond riverside), price(reasonable at about £15 per head inc drinks and shared dessert), quick service. Con’s: The brownie

Of the many places where you can get pizza in Richmond, this is my favourite. The bases are properly thin and crispy, and if you take advantage of one of the special offers(£5.95 for a lunchtime pizza, 2-for-1 on a Monday) it’s pretty good value for money. You order by the quarter yard(about right for one person) and, as mentioned in a previous review, you can go up to a full yard divided up with different toppings. The only reason I’m docking one star is the utter wrongness of crispy duck and hoi sin sauce on a pizza. There’s some other odd topping choices(e.g. chicken and mango) but you can always create your own.

Decent pizza restaurant that has one outstanding feature: pizza by the yard(yes, it’s a yard in length but looks even more enormous!) It comes as a long stick, you can have several different toppings choices on and it’s the best thing ever for sharing with friends — talk about social food! The restaurant’s right in the centre of Richmond, near the river and 5 mins(if that) from the tube station. This place is always a winner!
