Tesco Extra

Conspicuous consumers of the world, unite! Your altar is at hand!
This Tesco «Extra» is just like the Walmart Supercenter you’ve experienced (and gotten lost in) in the States, only the prices are just a little higher and all four wheels on the carts pivot (which I find weird). Imagine that Wal-​Mart where the center section of clothes is ALL FOOD and there’s only a narrow section at the side for DVD’s and housewares.
Perhaps not as much variety in the non-​food areas, but the food section is jaw droppingly massive. The produce all looks very fresh and the deli offers all sorts of take-​away meals that are table-​ready for serving. Majorly huge frozen section too! I’ve never seen an entire aisle of cheese in my life before this. And at least ten feet of butter choices. Maybe next time, I’ll post photos.
Fantastic hours, it’s open from Monday at 06:00 until Saturday at 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
There’s a petrol station in the parking area and a «freephone» near the tills for calling a taxi. Several bike racks too.
