Top notch. I’ve walked past this place a few times and never needed their services, but I just bought a bicycle yesterday and needed some stuff done to it. Walking in with my new(to me) Sarah(that’s what I’ve decided to name the bicycle), they immediately and in a friendly manner asked if they could help. Lowering the seat(the guy I bought Sarah from was about 8′ 6″ tall) for no charge and then hooking up my second-hand pannier rack(again for no charge), I decided that I had to spend –some– money here to thank them for the great service. So I picked up an ankle clip(two pairs of jeans, now covered in chain grease) and then a snazzy saddle bag kit for the pannier rack. £23 total. A bargain at twice the price. The new bikes, on the other hand, are a little on the spendy side. Ranging from £100 to over £500, they were all well out of my price range. But that’s apparently what quality bikes cost these days. It’s a good thing I was able to shop craigslist! Very well inked and quite young staff, they are most friendly and extremely helpful. I don’t know that I’ll ever need to go back now that Sarah is tricked out, but if she does need a service or some more accessories, we’ll be back to SCUKco.
