Maplin is the «Radio Shack» of the UK, especially so since there isn’t really a Radio Shack in the UK. They have all the small doodads and whatzits that you might need for tuning up or building your own flux capacitor. While they have a ton of stuff in the store, there is also a full catalog that you can search for the rest of the things they don’t stock.
In addition to tools and wires and cables, there are CD/​DVD media, external hard drives, GPS systems, you name it. If it’s smaller than a coffee pot, they have it here and everything you need to connect it to whatever!
Note: they don’t sell the higher end stuff, like TV’s and computers.
