Best indian meal we have had in a long time. Food was very fresh and tasted as though it had been cooked to order. I had traditional chicken tikka which was fantastic and this wasn’t served as you would normally expect it was more like how a michelin star restaurant would present something. The restaurant was very clean, staff were attentive. We will definitely be going back.

Recommended to me by a good trusted friend who then texted back later apologising to say he’d heard the place had changed hands and wasn’t as good as it was too late, we’d bought a takeaway. All I can say is it’s okay but far too greasy. I’m sure there are better Indians in Reading but I think it’s going to be a job to find one! Go get yourself a Thai if you’re visiting as they’re all very good here in Reading.

Delicious! On first glance you may not think to pay the place much attention but it’s definitely worth a visit. Flavour of India always offers great, attentive but non-intrusive service with a smile. The food is good old-fashioned Indian that’s consistent, nicely presented, and served in decent portions. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the guys at this place and the fact it’s always busy is testament to how good it is. They remember all their regulars including what they normally order etc. When we’ve visited with friends and family-members they’ve always been willing to make dishes that aren’t on the menu and are also happy to prepare smaller portions for children. The meals are reasonably-priced and they often finish off by giving you a free Brandy or Baileys. They make every customer feel extra special and we always leave absolutely stuffed because we don’t want to leave any food as it’s so delicious! A little tip — visit on a Wednesday night for Happy Night — £9.95 for a starter, main, side and rice/bread. They also do an eagerly-priced Sunday buffet which is nice but not as good as their main menu.
