With a name like the «Chicken Ranch», how could I possibly not stop in for a quickie? Located on the west side of Reading Town Center and no where near Las Vegas*, the restaurant focuses on take away (‘take out’ to us Yanks) chicken sandwiches and donner plates. Figuring I couldn’t go wrong with a Lamb Donner, I was right. It was delicious and at only £5 with a plate of fries, a good deal. (Skip the fries, they’re not shop-​made). See my picture to understand a ‘donner’. It’s a pile of thinly sliced meat with cucumber, tomato, lettuce and a pepperocini on top of a pita bread.
Good, cheap, fast. Yes, sometimes you CAN have all three!
