This is a great place. The Coach and Horses pub used to be a reasonable pub with an OK atmosphere and ferry level food and now it has very good ales and the Spice Inn attached. The Spice Inn is what is being review here and it is simple very good curry. Last year it won the award for best curry house in St Helens and unless there is a gem I do not know of, it must have won it easily. The food is well priced, about six to nine quid for a main course(excluding sundries). The curry is very good, and the service was charming when I went, it seemed emotionally important to the waitress that we did not have to wait on our ale. The drinks are taken care of by the attached pub. The Merlot was very good, the ales included Jennings and Black Sheep. Very nice indeed.
