Preston Indoor Markets have been a revelation to me I work in the city centre and now won’t shop anywhere else. There is very little you can’t buy and being a full on foodie and an enthusiastic cook this is a dream come true. Redmans ham shanks, Arthurs cold meats, Mr Singh’s range of world foods, Adrian Liveseys Butchers all from farms within 20 miles… I could go on. stuck for lunch. you are spoilt for choice for takeaway treats! Banana King fruit and veg is well presented as local as possible and varied. As a cheese fanatic… you are spoilt for choice. Upstairs you can get everything from hair extensions to watch batteries! Support local.. The quality is outstanding and you will be pleasantly surprised!

I shop in the indoor market every Saturday and love it, so much more interesting than the supermarket. The traders are always up for a laugh and we all know each other’s life stories now! Become a regular and they will look after you with the best cuts of meat etc. I order special cuts from Bambers all the time.

Preston market offers an indoor and outdoor market. The indoor markets sells fresh meat, bread, fruit, vegetables and fish. The outdoor market varies depending on the day. Greetings cards, phone accessories, clothes, console games and flowers can usually be found. Stall holders are friendly.

The Preston markets are brilliant. With indoor and outdoor areas there really is alot to offer. Whilst shopping at the major supermarkets may seem easier, if you’re willing to take the time to shop around you can get some brilliant fruit & veg, meat & fish and dairy products of far superior quality for a fraction of the cost, whilst helping out local businesses at the same time. There is so much more on offer than food products though, with clothes and accessorie shops, cds, carpets, fancy dress and much more available. Alot of hidden treasures here. All the people on the stalls are really friendly, and happy to help you in any way they can. They recognise you if you return on a regular basis and this really helps make the whole shopping experience that bit more enjoyable.
