Bit touristy but nothing inherently wrong with it. You can do your souvenir shopping, learn about the local wildlife and grab a bite to eat. More cafeteria than cafè food.

Excellent heritage centre, shop and restaurant situated on the outskirts of Portree. There’s a large car park, forest walks and a theatre too. Aros plays host to a lot of fantastic concerts and also shows films. The heritage centre is extremely interesting with good displays about Skye’s history, wildlife and heritage. The restaurant is great — lovely home baking, good meals and reasonable value. Well worth a visit.

Aros is a good place to go for a quick bite to eat. It is child friendly with a kids menu selection and also there is a ball pool for them to have a play. On the down side, the ball pool could do with some TLC as it is becoming rather worn and dated. Still worth a visit tough. You can also go to the cinema at Aros and there is a small shop for gifts and nik naks. Worth a visit.
