Newely refurbished and quiet pub. There the other day but i felt uncomfortable speaking with friends as other people kept looking over as if we were disturbing them. Its not as if we were loud, i think the punters here just like their peace and quiet. Im also told by a friend that the malibu and diet coke is nice. Overall a nice place to go for a quiet one, but not a great place for a meetup as youll feel that your always being watched.

The golden age is definately a local pub for local people, its miserable and always fairly empty. Personally id try one of the more friendly pubs in treforest like raffles or flagstones!

oh, man, i haven’t been in here for years(used to go there loads growing up!), but the last time i walked in, the bar lady said ‘students’ in the mot sniffy disdaining way you could imagine an the one guy propped up at the bar nodded and grunted in agreement! Fabulous. It’ probably changed a lot since those heady days of 1995, but i like to think not. A local pub. For local people.
