It was here that the infamous traitor and murderer Henry Tudor was born, he went on to become Henry VII, father of Henry VIII and founder of that most murderous of royal families the Tudors. The castle itself is steeped in history and is a spectular ruin. The views from the top of the circular keep are superb. Don’t forget to visit the huge cavern beneath the castle.
