Cinnamon Lounge

Service is great and food used to be great but suspect a new chef of late as its taken a turn for the bland and ordinary and what was a regular has become and occasional… if I can’t be bothered to cook myself. Keep checking back in the hope they will source another chef and return it to what it used to be — a good local Indian

Shame as I got excited when this restaurant opened as the only other Indian restaurant in Oxted was poor. Cinnamon lounge is just another ‘curry house’ but don’t get me wrong if you have had a load of beers especially in the pub opposite and you fancy a curry then this place will do as you will not really remember a lot. If you want a nice Indian meal then try another restaurant sadly though you will have to travel outside of Oxted. Food here is just ok and the thing I hate about these typical curry houses is that they put sweet corn in the chicken byriani sauce — WHY !!! It’s a cheap vegetable and having been to India they laugh at this being done over here.
Sorry I am just a Indian food lover and critical of cheap curry houses which do a good job of putting people off such food.
