Good service from Heathrow/Gatwick to Oxford, but it is ridiculously overpriced. It’s ~£30 for a return trip. I imagine they can charge this much because there is no other line that services this route. It’s a real shame as I bet a competitor could undercut The Airline and still turn a healthy profit. They also have some really weird policies. For example, your ticket must be printed out. In this day and age, this is simply archaic. I suspect this policy is to catch foreign travelers, who had not printed out the ticket ahead of time and get them to buy a second ticket with cash on the bus. If you are coming from abroad, and you don’t have pounds sterling to buy a new ticket on board, The Airline will let you use Euros or USD. However, the price is inflated for those with foreign currency. For example, the price of a ticket in USD is twice that in GBP, even though the exchange rate hasn’t been 2:1 for over 5 years. After much hassle emailing with the Airline, it is possible to get a refund for the unused ticket. You just have to be very persistent.

Not a huge amount to say, it’s a bus that takes you to the airport. It’s very comfy and has wifi and half decent legroom and you can charge your phone and use free wifi for the whole of your journey and it drops you at north and south terminal. They get 4 stars because the loo was bogging! It wasn’t checked/cleaned between the journeys(looked like it was quite a few journeys since it had been cleaned)

Best way to get from Oxford to Heathrow! They have buses leaving every half an hour and they stop at all the terminals at Healthrow but terminal 4. I believe you take a bus from the other terminals to get to 4. The bus is very convenient and stop in several places in the city center and the last stop is glauster green. They offer free wifi for the journey which is kinda neat!

When visiting my sister-in-law who lives in Oxford, she recommended the airline. It was a great and easy way to get between Heathrow and Oxford. We purchased our return tickets in advance on line for £29 each, and used a print out of the confirmation email as our ticket. There’s no discount for buying the ticket in advance, but it was nice to have it all worked out. For the bus from Heathrow, you can get any one within 24 hours of your reservation. For the bus from Oxford, you have to be within 2 hours, and my SIL says they can be pretty strict about it. It was a little difficult to find the proper bus bay at Heathrow(#10 at Terminal 5), since that information wasn’t included in the email, but that also could have been the jet lag.(Also, we’re Americans, not used to needing so much information about public transit…) We arrived in the middle of the day on a Wednesday, and the bus was slightly late and completely full for the ride back to Oxford. For the return at 5am on a Saturday, the bus wasn’t too full when it left from Gloucester Green, but it did end about 1⁄3 full by the time we’d left all the Oxford stops. There is free wifi onboard, and the connection is strong and consistent. There are also plugs at every seat. Both our coach drivers were quite friendly.

The Airline bus service is a godsend if you need to get to Heathrow or Gatwiick in a hurry. I have used it dozens of times and it has never been late. You do pay a premium though, with a single ticket costing close to twenty pounds but if you need to get to the airports it beats going via London. If, however, you are travelling as a group(4 – 5 people), it may work out cheaper or the same to book a taxi, so make sure you check this alternative first. Last time I went it cost £90 for 5 of us.

Need to get from Oxford to Heathrow/Gatwick fast… then take the The Airline Bus. Running every half hour during the day, the bus takes and hour and 15 and 2hours 30 respectivly. It is a little pricey at 18 and 21 pounds to each… but it is incredibly handy. also a return is only about 2 pounds extra and can be used any time over a few months. without i would have missed alot of flights
