Lava & Ignite

The line was around the corner and the place was definitely lively.
Too bad it is not my kind of place at all…
If you love to dance, they have what you need. If you love to drink, the ability is hindered inside this place.
There are pubs close by…

Started the night on a high but gradually went majorly down hill after going into lava. The Staff were rude and shouted, the queues were horrific. and the cloakroom was a shambles really do not reccomend this club no where near good value for money!

I love Park End, more than I should, more than some of my family members. If I could spend every night of my week in the RnB room at Park End then I would.
I used to think the DJ here was really receptive to requests but turns out I’ve just been so many times that I subconsciously know what’s coming next. That’s a great place to be in. As is PARK END. On a Wednesday. And all the other days.

mmmmm i was very split on how many stars to reward here.
On one hand, i have had many a good night here at park end… and cheap too. And the refurb has made the place mush sharper and not to say cleaner. There are different rooms of music from cheese, to rnb to club which is good. And the dance floors and nice and big with enough room for plenty of people to dance. There is a good club atmosphere because its dark and has great club lights…
But on the other hand, the staff — not so much the barstaff — but the bouncers and esp the doormen ESP THE FEMALE ONES — are incredibly rude and can really ruin the night. Not to mention the cloakroom! you HAVE toturn in your coat but it costs £1.50 which is a rip off indeed. last time i went i gave the clockroom guy (who is a brookes student tut tut) £2 because thats what i thought it was. Then i waited for my friend who told me it was £1.50…the cheeky guy had pocketed my change. But this is typical of park end.
Another time i went the doorwomen was sooooo rude to me that i emailed a complaint the next day. apparently they spoke to her and she didnt do anything… what happened to valuing customers?!
If i was marking on the space and the music and the cheap drinks alone i would give 3 stars… but the staff bring it down to 2. You are better to stay in the fabulous thirst for the night or go to Escape.

A popular club on a Friday and Saturday night. The location is good as it is near various bars (including the ever popular Thirst). The club itself often has promotion nights that attract many students. Drinks are extremly cheap if you not fussy and there are various dance floors with many genres on show. The only downside of Parkend is the «town/​chav» crowd is sometimes attracts.

Much better since the refurb but still pretty messy. It’s cheap and there are lots of rooms — Karaōke, Dance, R&B etc. The drinks are really cheap on a student night and it’s quite a «towny» crowd at the weekend.
