myself and my flat mate visited here very recently. Straight away we where made very welcome by the staff who asked us where we’d like to sit as a-posed to being sat where they’d prefer. Always an plus in my books. Great décor with ampul seating for couples, families and parties! The menu was very simple to read, filled with all your traditional Indian cuisine! Having eaten in many Indian restaurants I always try to mix my options, the waiter was more than happy to suggest which dishes went well together! The food was exceptional! 5* After any Indian meal I’m always left feeling stuffed and ready for half an hours kip, not on this occasion, the portions where more than adequate and after I left with a very happy belly instead of feeling overfull. My wallet also enjoyed this restaurant!

So Vamasaki… They have been in Oldham for a while now. Having moved locations around 3 times now(i think). Each time they have moved its too a bigger location. This is the 1st time I’ve been to Vamasaki and it was very nice. I drive past here everyday while on my way to work and being the cheap skate that i’am the big banner they had advertising 5 courses for £10 very much interested me. So 1st impressions — The site is big looks like it could cater for around 50+ people at a time. There are normal tables & these huge booth type areas which while they can seat around 5 – 6 people when its just to of you it does still feel quite intimate. The only problem is its location. Its situated within a 2min walk from the Metrolink Station so any outsiders can easily make their way here. The view is of a dual carriageway & a Kwik Fit ! I must say though i didn’t hear the traffic going by. Food was wonderful. I’m not really a curry man so normally its Korma or Butter Chicken for me. Butter chicken was not included in the deal so Korma it was. The«5 Course» deal did feel a bit of a rip off once inside. The 1st course was a Pompadom Dish which you dont get a choice on. The 2nd was an starter(i had Chicken Pakoras) The 3rd was a main(Korma) Now this is where they got you if i wanted rice or a nann then it became a course so The 4th was boiled rice and the 5th is a coffee. In the end all i can say was it was delicious. Staff where friendly and helpful. I just think with its location & nothing to really to do in Oldham afterwards then its not going to bring in punters from outside of Oldham.

Excellent hot food, great décor, friendly staff. The downside you look outside onto a dual carriageway with Kwik Fit across the road!!! Shame it’s not by a riverside.
