Birmingham Best Inn

Well should I get started … I knew that it’ll be a low budget place to stay but I haven’t experienced thus. In the first night that we stayed there we got a room which was more than dirty the bathtub/​shower was unusable. From about 8 lamps in the three rooms only 3 were actually equipped with light bulbs. OK that’s also a way to save energy but I thinks there are better ones. This room also gab a door which was nit posdibke to lock to the outside and as Birmingham is not the safest place on earth this was kind of scary. In the morning the next surprise: The breakfast was promoted in thé booking but actually they don’t serve it. The second night we got another room which was cleaner as the first one but the bed was a nightmare. This should have be replaced by a new one years ago not possible to sleep on it. Also the walls were dirty and sticky which is not exactly a hood sign for cleaners. So all after all I can say that if you don’t care about anything regarding your accommodation it is a fair offer but I won’t stay here anymore that’s for sure

I stayed here for a couple of nights on business. I was basically looking for somewhere pretty cheap but clean to stay in Birmingham. I was a little apprehensive as I have stayed in places before that look great on the website but are awful when you turn up.
Anyway, turns out that this place is great value for money. Its obviously recently been refurbished (maybe a little on the cheap) but the rooms are big and quirky. The staff are really helpful too.
The major plus for me was the cleanliness of the room. Everything was spotless and there were clean towels everyday. Plus included in the price was parking and a continental breakfast.
If you are looking for all mod cons and a really plush room then this place is perhaps not for you. However, if you are on a budget and want somewhere clean and safe to stay, with a nice little bar and really friendly staff, then I would definitely recommend it. If I go back to Birmingham and need somewhere to stay this is where I’ll book.
