Absolutely delightful café and a refreshing change from the faceless big boys. Tucked away off Bridlesmith Gate in the centre of Nottingham they offer a range of food and a yummy afternoon tea which is excellent value.
The surroundings are quirky and food is served on their vintage china.

A tasteful re-​imagining of afternoon tea. This is a lovely hidden away charm with simple but elegant décor and a fine range of mismatching china. The focus is very much on tea, cake, and sandwiches, but the Walk also offers a good selection of coffee, alcohol (including a great range of sherry), and other small dishes and snacks. Eating can be pricey but The Walk offers one of the most pleasurable experiences in town.

Just came back from visiting Nottingham and went here twice as I don’t know the city that well. On the first visit I was quite impressed. I ordered Pear and Caramel tea which came in a china tea pot with cup and saucer (all mis-​matched china with was lovely!) Chicken and tarragon soup and to finish a chocolate type dessert with fresh raspberries in the centre which was divine!
On my second visit I wasn’t so impressed, service seemed extremely slow and after I had finished staff were just ignorant to a point and leaving the finished plates on the table and took ages to bring food even the cake which is just in the cabinet and needs putting on a plate.
I had soup again which was Pea, it came with the saddest bit of bread I have ever seen! For £3.95 I would expect a few slices (I had 2 the first time) but this only came with 1 slice which obviously came off the end of a loaf as it was tiny!
I would reccomend going here if you have a lot of spare time (definately wouldn’t go on your lunch break!) and would skip the food (poor selection and very overpriced… the Salt Beef sandwich is more expensive than Selfridges in London!) But go for the cakes (seem reasonably priced. my choc and raspberry was £2.95) and the tea which was good

this really is the most delightful hideaway in Nottingham. Not unknown obviously! And destined to be better known yet!
Lovely coffe/​tea/​toast AND the lentil salad? YUM! Will let you know when I try the cakes — hopefully when my sister comes over from Germany! A café with waiting staff — WOW!

A truly scrumptious venue, everything from cup cakes, afternoon teas and china teapots to lunches and breakfasts that taste mouth wateringly delicious. A definite on my list of favourite places to hang out in the city.

This is unreservedly the best café in Nottingham. Owned, I believe, by the brothers who own the Hockley Sandwich Bar/​Deli on Hockley. I just can’t rave about this place enough. It’s not been open all that long, but it deserves to be a VERY big success. I LOVE the tea cups. And when I quit my job we came in for Champagne Afternoon Tea. HIGHLY recommended!

Exquisite little eaterie that has fallen right out of fairy-​cake heaven. Desserts to die for, beautifully impressive towering sponges, gorgeous old-​fashioned setting, mouth-​watering specials that change daily, mis-​matched pretty crockery and waitress service. Perfecto!

Beautiful fresh cakes in a simple, homely setting. A vast array of cakes hits you when you walk through the door. The cakes are different every day and melt in your mouth fresh. Do not go anywhere near this place if you are on a diet. Brilliant! I dream of this place!
Only slight negative is that the staff can get a bit confused if it is busy. My friend ordered a hot chocolate that was cold when it arrived. She is the sort of person that doesn’t complain and only told me and my friend (we will complain) after she had drunk it. When we told the staff nothing was done about it as it was a bit late to complain.
