Pretty decent budget curry house. Unlicensed, but you can take your own booze in, and there are several off-licenses nearby where you can grab a couple of cans to take in with you. The place itself is small and unpretentious, and service is friendly. The prices of main courses are quite cheap, but even better when you take into account that the price includes a choice of basmati rice, plain naan bread, or chappattis. The food is hearty, the portions are a good size. Ok, the food itself is fairly standard… but it’s certainly not terrible, especially at these prices. It’s a bit out of the way from most popular drinking places, although you could walk there in ten minutes from Canning Circus, if you happen to be on a night out around there.
