Really great service! the lady let my friend and I into the restaurant 3o min earlier than opening time and was happy to let us order too(Thankfully since it was freezing and we were exhausted). She engaged us in friendly convo and seemed genuinely interested in seeing new faces. She was always smiling and had a great attitude. The food was very good — probably a worthy rival for Thai on the river. The décor is beautiful and you can’t help but notice all the thai inspired detailing of cutlery, plates/bowls, cups etc. Will definitely come back. My ownly suggestion is that they reduce the price of rice! 4 pounds is a bit much in my opinion for a small bowl of coconut rice. That dampened my experience at the end slightly. Anyway, will come back!

Small Thai restaurant with good service and good food. Located right around the corner from the Norwich Castle. Very attentive service, we were the first party seated for dinner. However the place filled up quickly which made it just a bit tight. Very nice presentation and plating of the food. I chose the Tung Tong(Bags of Gold), which arrived with a sweet sauce. Very hot, very crispy, they were filled with spiced shredded pork. Yummy. The Chicken Satay one of my dinner mates had looked good, as did the Thai Dumplings. For mains, as with any new Thai restaurant I always go with the Pad Thai. It’s the national dish of Thailand and is usually quite good. Sugar Hut’s was average, though it was served with a condiment plate that included a carved lime(for squeezing) and two small dishes of dried chili flakes and diced peanut. Good thing, because it was a little bland so the chili spiced it up. I had it with prawns and there were plenty in there. Two or three choices for beer(they were out of Chang but they had Tiger) and a few spirits available, as well as soft drinks. Overall, decent. I’d come back.
