As pubs go, this one close to Lotus is notable and consistent. I don’t know why you would ever be in this tiny town, but if you are in the area, I highly recommend a visit. The steak and ale pie is delicious. Hearty, not bland(surprisingly), and filling on a cold winter’s day. As most things do, this meal comes with tasty chips(that’s fries for all you Americans), and steamed veggies. The fish and chips are also a nice staple. This dish comes with bright green peas cooked perfectly. I love peas! I don’t know if this is common, but the fish bones in the fish I had were rather annoying… I don’t think it was fried enough? Hah. The fry batter is light and crispy, but can get soggy easily. Not the best fish and chips I’ve had in the UK but decent. I’m not big on alcohol, but I have tried the cider and hear the selection of beer is good. Chip and pin cards only or cash. Regular American credit cards won’t be accepted.
