Friendly, helpful and cooperative staff as well as excellent food at fair prices in an authentic environment. The vegetarian selection was however rather poor.(Guests of the hotel next door get 10% off). And not that it has anything to do with Mexico but they make an excellent cosmopolitan.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here recently! I had a chicken burrito which was delicious. Generous portions, I left feeling very full and only had a main course! We dined here on a thursday night and managed to get a table without booking. It was fairly busy and I imagine in peak season you would need to book! I would definitely return next time I am visiting the area as it was a pleasant experience. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars was because the toilets weren’t great. The toilets are down a flight of stairs, this was extremely poorly lit and therefore I was worried I was going to fall! Also the toilets were not especially clean and one didn’t have paper and another didn’t lock. That is my only criticism, everything else was lovely!

Came to Senior Dicks on my second night in Newquay. My first night I had to check out Mexican Cantina. When you are an American traveling England and living in England, you eat at whatever Mexican establishment you can find in search of real Mexican food. I had my husband drop me off so I could get a table because they looked pretty busy. I was seated right away because I’m not fussy and accepted a table by the bar. My waitress was very friendly and attentive, she came to check on me often while I was waiting on my husband. In the mean time I ordered two bloody marys. The bartender wanted to make to know if I wanted Tabasco sauce or their specialty spicy habanero sauce. I opted for their habanero sauce, why not? I received my bloody mary but it was not very spicy and lacked flavor, their tomato juice tasted pretty water down. I ordered my bloody marys with two shots of top shelf vodka. I couldn’t taste the vodka but the buzz I got, I knew it was in there. I ended up adding more Tabasco sauce to spice my drink up. I am not bothered by their bloody mary because I asked him to make me something that isn’t even on their menu. I ordered their chicken chimichanga. It was large. The chicken was nice and bite sized. I also ordered a side of their famously spicy habanero suace and it conquered me. It was too spicy that I couldn’t eat it with my chimichanga. That is a first for me. I did try to eat some of it. I enjoyed it, but was sweating afterwards. The chimichange was great. The refried beans were very tasty but there wasn’t enough of them, just a tiny bit, maybe a teaspoon full. I’d like to have more beans because they were quite tasty. My husband enjoyed the rice, I am not a fan of rice but he said it was good. Their chicken nachos are really nice. It is a large portion, one could share them. I enjoyed my experience at Senior Dicks and I still can’t get over their name.

That’s what she said… Honestly, who came up with that name? If it was a 6 year old boy, ok. Otherwise — really??? Unsurprisingly, given it’s moniker, this is the more rowdy of the 2 tex mex eateries in the town. It’s often full of stags — I think it’s on one of those sites where it all gets organised for you, so do bear that in mind before you take your little flowers there! Food wise, it’s ok. You can’t go massively wrong with nachos, and they do what they do pretty well here. It’s fairly cheap, they pile it high and get it out quick. Oo-er…

this is my favourite mexican restaurant the food is so amazing. the menu has plenty of variety and there is enough to feed an army, which is a shame as i never have room for all 3 courses. The desserts are amazing too if yoiu can fit one in. the coctails again are also very good especially the after eight one! The setting is lively and welcoming and the staff attentive, wld def reccommend and wld recommend booking ahead!

This is a great Mexican restaurant in the heart of Newquay town centre. The food is really tasty and very authentic. Staff are friendly and the music played in the background adds to the atmosphere.
