Parc Pantry hasn’t been around for very long but it’s already topping the list of where to eat in Newport. The owner of this small café/deli is one of the many people running the operations behind the display counter. As you walk in the shop, you first see a little shop that sells cards and trinkets. In the far end is the display case and counter where you can order food. The other half of the restaurant is the dining area, where the food is brought to your table. The décor of this place is wonderful — quaint country cottage style theme with bright colours, simple wooden furnishing, while maintaining minimalism. Great place for a bunch of girls to meet for brunch(as was most of the clientele when we arrived for brunch before we headed out to go castle hunting for the day. The food selections are limited to sandwiches and salads as it is a café but they do a great job with the menu. We had: — two capuccinos — one chorizo and chicken wrap: tasted mexican and was recommended by the owner — one breakfast toastie: came with a delicious salsa The total was about 13 quid and the atmosphere makes you not want to leave. Also they have free wifi. They close at 5pm so it’s not a place to have dinner. If I lived in Newport, I’d definitely be here all the time.
