Like any other Poundstrechers BUT with a «big» Pet Shop section where you can find plenty of toys and treats for dogs, cats, rodents and birds located upstairs. OK, so the pet section isn’t that fantastic and some of the dog treats look a little gross but it has a bigger pet section that any other store I have seen and definitely bigger than any other branch. This store is a mish-mash of a little bit of everything at bargain prices from toothbrushes to curtains-you have a wide selection of everything you need for your home. The confectionery and biscuit selection is actually pretty good(the only place I can consistently find strawberry licorice for £1) and you can also get discount price cupboard goods such as tins of soup. They usually have a good deal on bog roll too! Mind you, it’s the large family pack ones(but it works out cheaper!) and I always buy my box or bag of tea from here which lasts ages. There’s a weird one-way system going on at this store but you have a choice of normal, boring baskets or those cool wheelie ones so looping around isn’t a problem. The staff numbers seem very limited as there is often one person on the tills and they don’t look too pleased but they get the job done once you finally actually reach them.

Not another pound shop. No, this cheap shop is different because it’s spread over two floors and sells EVERYTHING. I suppose you could say it was a cheaper version of Wilkinsons. If you’re moving house and have to buy everything from scratch on a budget, shop here. The kitchen ware is of good quality at very low prices. This is not Ikea, the customers who shop here have more sense. The candles at 50p last forever and burn really well. Lots of other household items are upstairs such as bins, storage boxes, clocks, mats and cushions. The sweet section is also worth a look at downstairs with bags of chocolate raisins and the like. I have never seen this shop busy but that probably has something to do with it being slightly out of the way on Clayton Street. Bargains, bargains.
