1st For Fabrics

OOOh if you love fabric you will love this shop.
It is a bit out of the way on the industrial estate near Asda in Longbenton. The shop is inside one of the units at the end of the road. It looks nothing from outside, just a sliding door.
But once you get in the fabric is amazing.
They stock a huge range of colours in the usual tulles, cottons, poly cottons, tweeds, prints, satins and organzas. You will find a lot of accessories in this shop as well including patterns.
The curtain fabric is amazing and they have a large choice to pick from. My daughter loved looking at and feeling all of the fur fabrics in stock.
Prices — looking on the internet the prices in 1^st for Fabrics are on a par, but then when you factor in the postage and packing from the internet 1^st for Fabric wins.
The staff are really helpful and recommend some thread that would work well last time I was in. They are happy to give advice.
