The gallery is part of Newcastle University nestled in a courtyard beside the fine art department and is worth taking the 5 minute walk from the city centre to check out.
It has it’s own collection however there is a lovely vibrancy about it probably helped by the fact it interacts with with art department by having a common entrance and contemporary art exhibitions.
The staff were very knowledgeable and I recommend spending a few minutes talking to them about the building, as much as the shows, as it’ll make your experience.
