Lovely setting with fantastic service. We stayed one night and tried the tasting menu in the restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good. The staff cannot do enough for you. This hotel is relaxed. We certainly will return.

Here for a wedding. Beautiful grounds and setting. Great rooms. Spa amenities are solid. Be sure to book activities well in advance of your arrival. We failed to do so and so weren’t able to do any, but no biggie as there’s still plenty of things to do, such as relax and enjoy the scenery. Food here is also excellent. Lots of traditional British dishes that are super tasty. Would recommend also eating meals in the restaurant here.

Just came back from a few lovely days spent here. A few problematic issues, but made up for, by very good customer service. Every time we pointed out a problem, they apologised very sincerely and fixed it immediately. Excellent customer service. Very nice pool bar where a lunch buffet of various healthy options was an absolute highlight of our stay. Not a fan of the apparently michelin starred ‘vetiver’ restaurant. A major disappointment. Eat at the bar or the pool bar. But the place itself is charming. Beautiful location, great facilities, excellent personal service, delightful staff. Absolutely loved it.

This Hotel deserves more than 5 stars thats for sure. By entering the premises and hotel, you simply enter a new and different world. EVERYTHING someone could expect is fulfilled here and whether you would wanna talk about the rooms, the bar, the restaurant, the chef, the staff, the offers and possibilities This place is truly amazing and I can only recommend a visit at least once in your life!

Since everyone seems to be channeling the Brits this week you may as well head to the country and live like the royals. No better place to do tea and join a shooting party than at the Chewton Glen. An English Original… Chewton Glen is a luxury country house hotel and spa set in 130 acres of Hampshire countryside on the edge of the New Forest National Park, and just a few minutes’ walk from the sea. A very special place, Chewton Glen is a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, is one of the finest luxury hotels in the UK and has been voted ‘One of the Top Hotels in the World’ and ‘Best Hotel in the British Isles’ — at the 2010 Condé Nast Traveller annual readers awards. Its royal heritage, pure luxury and true taste all wrapped up in one royal package. Get yourself kitted out!

I have worked here a few times as a wedding photographer and have had a chance to see the rooms and grounds. The grounds are beautiful with a good swimming pool area, pitch and putt course and a very extensive health spa. There is even a landing zone for your helicopter. The rooms that I have seen are chintzy, but very comfortable. Unfortunately, all this comes at a cost and that is what keeps the Hotel exclusive. If you have the money, then there is very little more that you could ask for, but personally I would prefer to stay somewhere that offers better value for money.

. Firstly I have never had the good fortune to stay here but I have been for several lunches. The grounds and hotel are beautifully kept and the staff do an excellent job. They occasionally have guest speaker lunches and I have twice seen Professor Richard Holmes there — most entertaining –including a beautiful lunch with wine at a not TOO expensive cost. On another occasion we were in the normal dining room and were a bit surprised at how some of the guests were dressed — one in particular was wearing a see through dress! chavs galore. It used to have a bit of an exclusive image. That went a long time ago.

My work was having a celebration and they decided to host it at Chewton Glen. It is a rather beautiful, and massive, redbrick country cottage near Bournemouth. Getting there from London on a friday afternoon was hellish. And our directions from the AA were absolutely useless as they led us up some dirt tracks to some unsuspecting private houses. Eventually we got there, despite the best efforts of the M27 to ruin my evening. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are excellent. I can’t say much about the rooms because we only enjoyed the main function room, but I do know they are incredibly expensive. It is a 5 star hotel, and it certainly looks it. But I can’t imagine I’ll be popping in every now and then. Even though it boasts several pools and a spa centre, as well as a golf course and helicopter facilities. You can book the entire place for about £50,000 a night. Also, it seems it would be a lovely place for a wedding or other massively special occassion.
