A nice surprise! Something a little different, compared to the thousand italian restaurants in the area. I had the goat curry and it was superb. Delivery was fast and I’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

Pumpkin Rice has got quite a small menu and can suffer from having items unavailable quite often. I have tried a couple of times in the past to order and not having what I wanted I gave up, Saturday night though I finally made my first trip there. Having a west Indian wife and making regular trips to Trinidad I know what good Caribbean food is all about and I can safely say that Pumpkin Rice has got it spot on, unlike a lot of Caribbean take out places I’ve been to they really shine. The curry goat was really good, being Jamaican it was a little different to my Mother in Laws but was really good none the less, it really tasted like great homemade food. The braised oxtail and hard food was a triumph too, it was all really good and not swimming in grease, real comfort food. Even the sorrel and fruit punch was homemade and delicious, the owner was friendly, the food was great and reasonably priced. What’s not to like, I’m just kicking myself it’s taken me this long to try it out, I am definitely going to make Pumpkin Rice a regular haunt.
