Yes, in the middle of the generally lower end shops of Morden town, you’ll find Tariro, a Fairtrade coffee house. Having opened in 2003, it has actually weathered the test of time and continues to serve Fairtrade and organic food and drink.
Tariro means hope in the African language of Shona and reflects the noble effort of this place tomake a difference to the disadvantaged in this country and abroad.
It’s quite a nice place to chill out and read the Sunday papers and though the prices may be a bit higher than other establishments in town, you’ll have the warm glow of helping others.
