It’s basically probablyh the best pub for a drink in the area and does reasonable food that is markedly better than the grim stuff available at the nearby carvery pubs. The Ravensbury is spacious, nice woods floors, and usually has three or four real ales which they keep well and are always happy to let me sample before buying, and they have jugs for beer not just straight glasses! But it’s not a stuffy old pub — the atmosphere is usually bright and brisk. It has a fantastic garden shaded by amazing 200 year old London plane trees, and given its location at a busy road junction it almost gives you the country pub experience. I work nearby and it is the favourite local drinkinf & eating place, and the staff are always cheerful and friendly.

I used to go to this pub /restaurant when it was The Ravensbury Arms. Since new ownership in early June 2011 It now has a great dedicated restaurant section and the food there is very good. The beers are what I would call proper beers and also the regular ones that you would find in any other pub. The staff are friendly and management all seemed very nice(I booked a large table for my 40th). Great pub, nice atmosphere and good garden!
