Headed here, finding it at a block of restaurants out and across the way from the main mall. The entrance seemed shabby and as we arrived a few minutes before opening, we were directed to wait along with a soon-forming queue. No letting you to your table before the buffet opens. But the main buffet seating area was bright, red-themed and clean and modern. At noon on Saturday, anyway. A few bottlenecks for getting your food through the seating. But fine for this type of place. Waiting staff barely smiled, but were efficient in getting drinks and clearing used plates quickly. Food was indeed mediocre. And when you pile a few things up, you’re barely a third in to each plate before it all seemed cold. Perhaps they fear health and safety of having things too hot, but my biggest issue there was chomping through quickly-going-cold food. Yes, lots of variety. And lots of little extra salad type treats. Most delicious, surprisingly, because it looked like Costco party food, was all the desserts. Yum. Yum. Yum. An incredible selection that has upped my rating by a star. 3 out of 5. Would indeed return. Just.

A fairly wide selection of food: indian, chinese, mexican, with a few others thrown in. None of the food is excellent, but it’s mostly good. Do have the chocolate brownies for pudding, though! Child friendly, and most dietary needs should find something. Booking ahead is a good idea.

We really liked this place, but perhaps that’s because we love food. Family of four with drinks cost us about £60 so not the cheapest but certainly good choice of food, anything from Italian to Thai. The desert trolley is awesome; I just filled my plate with Jelly Beans, wine gums and liquorice allsorts. Situated near the MK Theatre this place can get busy at certain times. But we’ve been 2 times in the last month now and never had to wait for a table. Drinks service is good and plenty of room.

It’s buffet style eat as much as you like, within allocated slot of 1hour & half(so don’t expect to stay all night if you’re booking!) but don’t let this put you off as all is fresh and tasty. Prices are set at £12.95 Mon-Thurs, £14.95 Fri-Sat & £12,95 Sundays. Kid under 10 dine for half price. Great for those people who can never decide what to eat and can eat alot. Huge choice and mixture of all world food to choose from. The chefs cooks some fresh while you wait, such as stir fries and freah Japaties. I liked it the first time I went, but got a bit bored the 2nd and 3rd as found the menu does not change much and alot of the food you could get elsewhere for less money. Ideal for 1st date(if your date likes to eat alot) or groups for ease of choice. However, I do feel the price could be lowered to make this more appealing to those of us that don’t eat like a horse. Had a couple of negative experiences with service though. For example if one of your party does not choose to eat and wants to have a drink you MUST make this very clear at the outset or you will be charged per head on the table. It took 3 different people in my party of 20 and over half an hour i might add to argue this point with staff and then the manager to get this removed from our bill in excess of £300(including drinks)! We had stated clearly at the outset 2 people were not eating. I was disappointed by the manager’s attitude as he did not apologise once and only gave in when we threatened to walk out without paying the bill! Not good. This spoilt what was at first a nice evening. In brief you can get a decent meal and service elsewhere for less.

I visited red hot buffet after recommendations from friends and work colleagues. We visited on a Friday and the place was extremely busy. We had to wait in the bar for half an hour, which was perfectly acceptable as we hadn’t booked. Once seated we were free to go up to the buffet to pick what we liked. There are several types of cuisine on offer including Italian, Indian, Chinese and Mexican. We aimed to try a little bit of everything but found that our eyes were bigger than our bellies. Avoid the fajitas if you don’t like hot food(sounds obvious!), they were extremely hot and I’m breaking out in a sweat just thinking about them. The food was excellent, but my personal opinion was that there was too much choice. Next time I’ll have to try and limit myself to miniscule portions.

As soon as you walked uostairs to the bar /lounge area you got a feeling that this palce was going to be good and we were not disappointed in the slightest. Dont let the idea of a one price for everything buffet put you off. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming and you immediately feel relaxed. There is a fantastic range of food on offer and certainly from what i saw it is replaced throughout to make sure that it is always fresh. The quality of the food beat my expectations, and i dare anyone to be able to resist the desserts on offer! A great time and will definately be back!
