This branch of Qualiy Save is new to the Middleton Arndale, it has now moved to where the Tesco used to be before moving into Middleton Gardens. This store is amazing, much bigger than the old branch, this store is massive, they have so many isles of winter gear, pjamas, frozen goods, butter, cheese, crisps, all at really good prices. If you are doing your weekly shop it is definitley worth calling in here first, 240 teabags for £4, 2 cans of Baked beans for £1, big bags of crisps for 89p, which are normally much more expensive in the likes of TESCO. Quality Save is like a value supermarket, this store is big and fantastic and sells so many brands, even Vimto at low prices as well as brands you may not of heared of and useful gear. They even sell a small selection of newspapers now, unfortunatly I only saw a very small selection of tabloids. With this store being new they is still teething problems, new staff still not fully knowing the store and what to do and older staff just getting used to the new branch, which has been open for literally days. They is so many cheap things here, the store is huge and they is alot of selection for many things. Can you do a weekly shop here? no, but you can get a good portion of it here, much cheaper than the big supermarkets. This is just a small, northern business with under 3,000 likes on facebook, with only a few stores across North West England and Yorkshire but if they build a few of these stores they could become a name across the country, building on their few stores they have at the moment as they is some good bargains to be had. This branch of Quality save sell Covent Gardens soup for £1, and round the corner at Tesco it is being sold for £2.35. The only reason I fail to give 5 stars is that you can’t do your weekly shop here and it is just an additional trip to a dead Arndale centre to get here and it is a new store, still with teething problems from the tills and the staff. Also for such a big store, I know it is new but they don’t seem to be fully prepared without enough staff and tills, and at the moment the staff don’t stand out as being super friendly, this is a big store and they is not enough staff so they are all panicking, this would easilly be ressolved if they was enough staff to satisfy demand: because of this I feel 4 stars is the right rating for this store, although I feel this is quite generous, I would rather give 3.5 stars but this store deserves 4 stars more than three, in my opinion. UPDATE: I am demoting this store down to 2 stars, from the previous 4 star rating because of my experience today, the store do NOT accept manufacoters coupons, which is very confusing when they will receive the money back anyway, I think she only said no because she can’t work the tills because a policy like this is ridiculous. Also, all the prices here are not at a fantastic price, some items here are a good price, but they may seem cheap but it would be worth paying more at the likes of Tesco and Wilkinsons, because you are getting more of the product and it would work out a lower cost for each gram/litre. UPDATE: I feel 2 stars is quite harsh, even though the staff could be trained much better I feel 3 stars is a good rating for this store as they do also have a good range and some top bargains and it is always worth a visit when in Middleton.
