An American diner slightly failing to give the all American feel… Stopped by here for late breakfast/brunch Easter Sunday. Understandably the restaurant was empty… You’d think with the extra attention you’d have a better experience… To be fair our server was attentive but also new and unfortunately seemed really disoriented due to lack of direction… Nonetheless he was nice and did indeed try his best. Food was basic and just okay… Would I come back probably not… I got the classic English breakfast; as a Canadian now living in the UK, beans for breakfast still does intrigue me… Saying that an American style restaurant should stick to American style breakfast… It just wasn’t great and I asked for toast on the side which was toasted to a point of turning into a cracker. Super dry. All in all just nothing to get excited for… There are better options in the area. Forget the franchises; try local

This was the 4th visit to this branch and again, the service left much to be desired. I am already the holder of a «20% off VIP» key fob(due to a previous visit where tables were lifted over my head whilst I was eating) and this experience wasn’t much better. The starter plates weren’t cleared before the main courses were brought to the table. The server simply tried to push the empty plates further up the table with the edge of the main course plates. The food was cold which was then sent back. We were brought 2 fresh portions of fries to nibble on whilst we waited for our mains to be replaced, which were hot when they were delivered. Whilst we waited on our mains being replaced, a waitress delivered a glass of wine to the table and tried to remove a not-yet-finished glass in the process. This was swiftly retained and consumed!

I remember being quite excited when F&B opened in Harrow. Harrow, where there’s basically Nandos and Italian, needed a change. Unfortunately it’s not really for the best. F&B isn’t my favourite chain anyway, but this one is a bit worse than others I’ve been to. Today I had a philly chicken sandwich, which is chicken strips with a cheese sauce, bacon, lettuce and tomato. I ordered mine without tomato but should have got it without bacon — which was cold, and floppy. There wasn’t enough cheese sauce, and the whole sandwich was a bit meh. But what brought it down to 2 stars was the service. Somehow we ended up with 2 people serving us, both of which did everything — all the checking if we were okay etc — so while it might seem odd to complain about too much service, here I am, doing it! It’s hard to eat when you’re interrupted 5 times to make sure it’s okay. You’d be better off going upstairs to Pizza Express, in all honesty…
