Basically, this place is not about the food which is fairly standard fare, burgers are ok chips etc and milkshakes. It’s about the bikes and the social aspects of owning one. Now if you don’t own a motor bike you really would have no reason to enjoy rykers other than its car park being near the lovely boxhill great for a walk or pedal bike ride(which there are hundreds of since the Olympic cycle race came through here.) But on a summer Saturday or sunday its full of awesome bikes and a great place to stop and relax before continuing your ride out. Now I’m sad writing this because I just had some idiot cut me up last week and write off my bike and nearly write me off too. Ride safe bikers!

Rykas Café is an institution amongst motorbike riders in the south east and from further afield. On any give Sunday(and most Saturdays) the car park will be full to over filling with all manner of motorbikes and bikers. It is also a popular stop off with cyclists and walkers who fancy a little stroll to the top of Box Hill to take in the views. The food at Rykas is outstanding. My personal favourite is the bacon burger. Never tried the chips, as I am not a great chip fan, but the shakes are pretty good too. Coffee is fairly mediocre.
