Suppliers to many local businesses, Frosts do some awesome meats, and some interesting other products. For me the sausages are amazing, although another reviewer hated them. A massive fan of pork pies, I tried theirs which isn’t half bad! I get put off by the smug sales guy unfortunately and find myself often in the meat market nearby where I feel liked. For me Frosts is reserved for when I’m getting special meat that is worth being treated like an idiot for. All said and done, it’s the produce that keeps them a firm favourite with Manchester restaurants and I can’t say it’s less than impressive.

I haven’t had a good experience with WH Frost unfortunately. The sausage quality is just FAT and very little meat. And when you complaint about it, they call theirs a special reciepe! They intend to get rid of their out-dated meat by the way of barbeque! It is apparent they’re using pre-packaged meat which being un-packed at the site on daily bases. Well, it seems keeping appearances at the front won’t be enough to justify low quality meat offered by them. With regards to cooked meat and sandwiches, if the base is to get rid of out-dated meat, I doubt any one would be interested to try some! For me, I think of NO! NO! to WH Frost and any non-responsible outlet.

We tend to use W H Frost Butchers when we’ve popped in(and parked up in) Chorlton Precinct. Bargains galore are to be found in this, less bohemian shall we say, area of Chorlton but you can get away with a lot of your food shopping here too. W H Frost provide a good selection of meats and are friendly as many of the good butchers are(I’ve been to one or two which certainly don’t make you feel welcome!). They’ll happily present your meat the way you ask for it and help advise on the best cuts. They also sell cold cuts and freshly cooked roast meats, handy when you just want a more ‘honest’ take away.
