So here I am in Manchester. Two weeks into a trip that turned my fickle hair into a disaster after a heatwave in the mainland of Europe and then rain in Northern England and Ireland.
I was desperate to get my hair done and since I love Manchester and would love to move there I really needed to first find a hair salon. Note to the ladies: before you move ANYWHERE you must find a hairstylist!
After calling a few places and describing my hair type I was given an appointment for later that day with Carmen.
I arrived for my appt and was given one of their robes and was offered coffee. Carmen and I discussed my hair and what I wanted. As well as what I usually get done to it.
She took her time washing it and making sure it was squeaky clean as well as added a little scalp massage. Then she went to work with the blow dryer, straightener while using some non heavy oils while I sat there and drank my coffee while chatting with my friends in NYC.
It was a great experience overall. She didn’t rush me and did an amazing job. Def worth 5 stars.
