This place is the BESTVENUEIN MANCHESteR! if you are an artist or musician or just a bit wacky this is the place for you. I went in just to check it out and now am a volunteer. Its got a great atmosphere and loads of cool events– there is comedy–(XS malarky a top night, Laughing cows, Ladygarden) performance art– check out 11÷11÷11 coming up soon, club nights– Drumroots, Buried at the Chapel, Death Metal Nights, Acoustic, Burlesque… Life Drawing CLasses, acting… basically anything you can think of it has! If you fancy a change of scene or something more dress downy this is it. the décor is nice and the space is amazing– it was a derilict chapel now its beautiful. It also has a great range of real ale and wines– it s completely independent. Its also doing things for the local community– like detached youthwork. Its great to see a venue that is about so much more than just serving alcohol.

Ah, great news. I had thought that Chapel had closed down, but having seen this review on Unilocal,I have since investigated, and to my delight, this anachronistic music venue remains a place of parties and fun. When it first opened, the Chapel set its sights on becoming a popular Fallowfield venue to rival the likes of Trof(my speculation). They not only ran music nights but also attempted to open a little daytime café as well. It turns out that though this café enterprise has failed, The Chapel remains a spot of musical delight, hosting the best unknown and up and coming DJs the land of Manchester has to offer. With The University of Manchester and Salford being established places to study music and its production, there is a plethora of talent willing to play at venues such as this. Plus, its in an old church, so you can’t deny its damn cool.
