Opted for a wholemeal pita withe chicken salad jalapeños and sweet chilli sauce it was delicious. Can’t fault the quality of the food here will definitely return to try something different.

After our spin class myself & fellow Unilocalers headed to pita pit for a healthy bit to eat. Emma our host made us feel very welcome and when we arrived our previous orders were waiting on the table for us. After a good work out I was ready for my chicken, pineapple salad pita with sweet chilli sauce, a lovey drink cranberry & lime .Also a nice touch of pitta chrisp with a selection of dips. Thanks Matt for another great event.

I love Pita Pit, just love it. I’d only ever been to the Piccadilly location before even though the Deansgate branch is much closer to me most of the time! On first glance this branch isn’t as big or spacious — only a few tables and chairs but it does have an upstairs seating area which is better if you’re in a group. if you’re like me and prefer people watching, there’s a few spots at the front looking out on the road. On this occasion I had the chicken pita with added halloumi(I can’t turn it down), and with that some humous, feta & cheddar, lettuce and chipotle BBQ sauce — I’m a plain jane yes but it tasted fantastic! If you’ve forgotten breakfast, need a quick lunch or are looking for a healthier option for tea, then Pita Pit is a fantastic shout! They have a load of different options and you can chop and change what goes into your Pita to suit.

Pita pit do really fantastic salad boxes for those days when you fancy a treat lunch but feel you ought to behave. Treated very similar to the pita you can choose from a good range of salad items, meat or halloumi(I recommend the chicken slouvaki) and sauces to compliment(probably the unhealthy bit). Coming in at around the £5 mark I wouldn’t get it every day but I’ve never been disappointed with my purchase.

My friends eyes lit up when they saw this place. Apparrently they had frequented one when they travelled to New Zealand, but had not seen one since. They do live in St Ives though. Anyway, this place is like a subway but somehow fresher and personalised. and with Pitta bread. When we walked in we were greeted warmly, and asked if we had been here before. I politely said no and stepped up first. First off choose your Pitta bread. large or small, wholemeal or not. Second, choose your centre piece, halloumi, tuna, chicken, beef or just veggies. Next choose your spread, hummus, tasiki or onion chuntney. then the fillings, spinach, sweet corn, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, olives, onions, lettuce etc. these can be grilled at no extra cost. I recommend the mushrooms, onions and peppers :) Nearing the end, choose your cheese, Swiss, cheddar or parmesan. and another sauce bbq, sweet chilli. Under the recommendation of the chef, I chose the grilled halloumi which was tasty and not rubbery. Each step of the process was explained, and lots of recommendations were provided. for £1 you can select a drink so this tasty healthy meal only came to £16 for the three of us. To conclude this is a nice alternative way for a quick lunch. Staff were great and they have recycling bins too to help that good ol environment.

I tried Pita Pit for the first time this week and I was very impressed by the range of food that you can order here. Working in a ‘Subway style’ for serving the food, the staff are helpful when it’s your first time and the guy on the till explained how it all worked and what I had to do. I opted for a large, white pita with grilled halloumi and lots of hummus and salad. Wrapped up at the end and taken away it was a quick, cheap and tasty lunch. And with so many different variations you can have, I’ll be back to try them all.

Time to update my review. This is actually my 3rd review of this Pita Pit but I cant leave it on a 2⁄5. I first reviewed it shortly after it opened and gave it 4⁄5. I then reviewed it after having a slightly disappointing grilled steak pita and gave it 2⁄5. Shortly after this, the manager of Pita Pit contacted me about the steak and how they were looking into a different source etc. What great customer service! I have been several times since and had the grilled steak pita and it is much better. Also recently I have had their special a couple times which is the Jerk Chicken which I liked.

Vegan Wrap. Went for the first time a few days ago, had a hummus and falafel and it was amazing. Will definitely be spending lunch here again!

Having tried this location for the first time I am suitably impressed with the venue as well as the friendly and polite staff. I took the salad bowl with chicken and was amazed at the choice without extra charge of all the foods you can have. They kept them piling high all topped off with a choice of about 10 sauces. Certainly well worth giving it a try and you wont be disappointed with the quality of the food they serve. I have visited the other location near Picadilly Station which is just as impressive.

Born in ’95, Pita Pit makes mediterranean-inspired sandwiches for meat-lovers, vegetarians & vegans on the grill right in front of you. Simple and easy! Healthy too. Make yur next sandwich a pita!

This is quite a new addition to Deansgate, and with it being very close to my office it’s now become one of my regular lunch spots. My favourite item on the menu if the Spicy chicken — I like mine with all the salad and harissa sauce. There is a vast seating area upstairs, so even if you visit during peak times, you still should managed to find a table. I would agree with some of the comments below — this place is a mix between subway and nandos, with their salad and meat combination, however instead of wraps or bread, here you get pita. Also, as the pita gets folded up so that it is easier to eat, there is also the option to have your pita warmed up. When I first visited it took a little longer than I’d have liked to prepare each pita wrap, however it now seems that the staff have gotten into the swing of things and the serving time now is beyond reasonable. I like the fact that there was a choice between white and wholemeal and I must say that the salad and sauce selection is miles better than subway as there is so much more choice. I would recommend that people give this place a chance, I didn’t know what to think at first, however now I love this place and I’ve been recommending it to everyone.

I popped into this new branch on Deansgate with about 4 minutes to spare between meets! And why — well I knew it was going to be super quick, fairly tasty and all the ingredients would be fresh. The bottom line is that it’s basically like subway but replacing the bread for a pita. There’s also a fair amount of ingredients to go in each wrap but nothing has a taste of blowing you away. Even though it was very quiet the servers all seemed a little laboured in their enjoyment of service but overall not a bad experience. Serves a purpose but not somewhere I’m rushing to get back to.

Decent enough alternative on Deansgate, I had a falafel wrap which I managed to construct to be very spicy which I enjoyed. There’s loads of choice of ingredients and you really can make it work to your taste. Staff were nice. There’s a ton of seating, it’s one of the better places in town to go for a cheap lunch where you don’t have to go back to the office to eat but it’s not a proper sit down place where you’d feel awkward by yourself/it would take ages.

Dropped into the new Pita Pit on Saturday afternoon for a spot of lunch and was very pleasantly surprised with the offering. I decided to try a 9″ wholemeal pita with chicken and my choice of salad. Service was relatively prompt although they weren’t overly busy. You choose your salad and sauce in a similar way to Subway including a choice of different cheeses. No choice seems to cost any extra. Finally there is the option to have your pita toasted, which I did. I have to say it was truly delicious, and well worth the £4.95 price tag. The drinks choice is all health beneficial and definitely not mainstream. There’s also a water dispenser which you can help yourself to for free. Loads of extra seating upstairs with charging stations that include USB ports. There are also spotlessly clean toilets. I’ll definitely be back!

Heading to Pita Pit at 1.30pm, I expected business to be slowing down for them — but it looks like the Manchester lunch crowd is still going strong at this time! After reading about their recent soft launch(and accidentally missing the opportunity to go for free, whoops) I felt like heading down for a new lunchtime experience. The inside is bright and it’s obvious to see where the magic’s happening — queue to the right hand side, work your way down the salad bar, then wrap up & go or wait for your toasted pita to be ready. The queue was pretty lengthy upon arrival and it was obvious why. As well as there being a lot of hungry office workers in the Deansgate area, there was only one person on the till, one person filling the pita, and one person on the grill. Everything sped up tenfold when additional staff sorted themselves out and get involved in the salad selection area. Meat/veggies/halloumi are all cooked fresh at the grill, which is perhaps where some of the delay comes from. I opted for a regular wholemeal pita with grilled halloumi, then some hummus, cucumber, tomato, spinach, sweet chilli sauce, and red & yellow peppers. You can sit in but I had to head back to the office; it was tasty, filling and affordable lunch option. There’s a real health push here, which is good to see, and will be interesting to see if it continues. Drinks are water, juices and smoothies, with the only carbonated options from a brand I didn’t recognise. Snack options include rice cakes, popcorn, yoghurt/granola, and pita chips. Nutritional information is readily available at the till point, and is included in your bag if you do decide to take away. Good to know there’s something else out there; I’ll probably be back in a few weeks, when staff are a bit more settled and the routine has really clicked.
