This Nike store is located in Manchester Fort, and as I recall within the past 12 – 18 months it has had some work done. It is a smaller store with not a big amount of products, however it is much easier to have a look around the range etc, compared to Sports Direct which does not give a good feel to me, as it is all crowded and pack. About half the store is dedicated to trainers, with some football shirts, bags and jackets also being located here. The range here isn’t brilliant, with it being mainly for trainers with some of the prices being far too expensive, with a 2 season old kids City kit going for £15 and old City shirts going for about £35, however with the 30 percent off they was some good prices too, including a £11.90 Nike bag, which is quite a nice bag and is big too, and can fit a laptop in. The queues are quite long, and it could just be because they is a sale on, which is surprising for a store with a smaller store. The layout, as I said is very nice for a Sports shop and I’m glad it doesn’t take off Sports Direct. One of the members of staff who served me, seemed too eager and over friendly, and pressure selling me over buying the bag, as I was tossing and turning between the two, and she constantly asked me what I like better and it seemed she wouldn’t move until I gave her an answer and bought it, this makes me think she really wants her commission(Do Nike give commission to staff?) I do like the layout of this store, but I don’t like how the majority of stock is trainers, they is some good products here, but even with a sale, most of the prices are quite expensive and it is mainly football gear, even for turkish teams, and although it is worth a look in while shopping at the Fort, because of the lack of clothing range, some of the prices and over eager, pushy staff, I feel that I can only give this store 2 stars.
