Mullins

You know when someone builds something up so much, they’re bound to set us all up for disappointment? Well, this is what happened when I used to work in Spinningfields (God, how much have I used that phrase now in my Unilocaling life) and a colleague waxed lyrical about Mullins being the best sandwich place ‘EVAR’, better than Katsouris, and he didn’t even mention Merv’s which I’m glad about… as I’ve tried it since as you know, and it cannot be beaten.
His poison was the breakfast baguette. Now myself being non-​carnivorous except when it comes to the fishies evaded the bacon and sausage, opting for one of my favourites, the fried egg sandwich. This is a messy, glutinous treat that one must have with brown sauce. It might look disgusting when the HP or Daddies mixes with the egg yolk, but heckadoodle does it taste nice. For me, this was just okay. It didn’t taste massively fresh and the yolks were a little more hardened than I would have liked, but this was probably a good thing since I was transporting the thing to my office desk.
My colleagues were bitterly disappointed with their meaty breakfast offerings. Perhaps it was because our chum had built the place up so much, but rather than being left with satisfaction what remained was greasy indigestion that might work well on a hangover, but on a fresh crisp morning when there’s lots of work to do, it doesn’t sit too well in the pit of one’s stomach.
Therefore use Mullins with caution, perhaps avoid the breakfast options and try something lunchy. I’ve yet to do so, therefore feel free to keep me posted… (Please, people, it does NOT help that my beloved Merv’s is visible from Mullins. I’d feel like I was cheating on my hot husband with the overweight binman.)
