These buses are like the best ever they are free and do 3 routes all over Manchester City Centre! They start in Piccadilly Station.

Metroshuttle, wtf man? You were my best friend when I was a university student, always dropping me off outside Marks and Sparks when I hopped on opposite Java on Oxford Road. So why don’t your green buses seem to stop outside Marks and Sparks any more? Don’t your drivers like that new Brazilian lingerie model off the adverts? Did they prefer Noemie Lenoir? We all did, Metroshuttle. We all did.
But seriously, in a terribly laughable Basil Fawlty-​esque saga, I huffed and puffed and shouted as no less than six orange buses turned up in a row (three of these at EXACTLY the SAME TIME) when it was green we sought. No amount of beautiful pastel-​coloured macaroons could soften my temper. The sign says the greenies come by at this stop, so why no greenies? The trick is evidently to get on at Victoria Station which we eventually did. Dear god, by this point I was freezing.
But why still five stars? Simples, my Unilocaly friends.
1) Brand spanking new Eco-​friendly hybrid electric buses with security cameras and über comfy space age seats.
2) They’re free. FREE. For free, they can mess about with bus stops and routes as much as they like.

First class, well done Manchester! Love the new Eco Buses we got last week, so posh! along with candid camera, you can sit and watch yourself and the road behind or in-​front!
Use it all the time, it is great.
Negatives or ways to improve it,
Few terrible drivers, who drive past you, are pretend they have not seen you, like one today at the Railway Stn, pulling out of the stop. Most of the drivers are great.
Be great if it ran later than 7pm
Be nice to have a route to Oxford Rd/​MRI etc
All in all I love it and proud to be in Manchester.

I once applied to work for the GMPTE, needless to say, they never took me on. But that doesn’t change all the praise I gave Manchester’s public transport system. The train stations, the trams, the buses. They all make getting to and around Manchester easy. Navigation for dummies.
The free city centre buses complete making Manchester accessible to the masses. Free, yes free. There’s three routes that can get you to Deansgate, Oxford Road Station, Victoria Station, Salford, Spinningfields, China town and all the nitty little roads inbetween. It can get confusing which ones go where and where exactly it stops but the bus drivers are usually friendly and give you a yell when your approaching yours.
Metroshuttle, you are brilliant!

Manchester is an easy-​to-​navigate city at the best of times in my opinion, with everything in a really easy walking distance from each other.
However, if time isn’t on your side, you have a bad leg or you want a free tour of the city, then the Metroshuttle is a great option. The best thing about it is that it’s totally free! There’s one that goes from right outside Piccadilly station and hits most important city centre areas.
The buses can get quite busy at rush hours as city workers use them to get to work as they hop off the train, but for the rest of the day there’s loads of space to sit and get a quick lift to where you need to go.

Ahhhhh, Metroshuttle. Ferrying lost souls around this rainy metropolis on brightly coloured toy buses that are always clean and tidy. And for free, too! Metroshuttle is basically awesome for these reasons:
1) It is clean
2) It is free
3) The buses run with a regularity and frequency that is alarmingly good
4) As Sarah-​Jane covered in her review, you can go pretty much ANYWHERE in Manchester for free!
5) I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but, it’s FREE!
So many times I’ve been in a hurry to get to the station, or have had too many bags to walk home, but too few for the boyf to agree to a taxi. In these cases, Metroshuttle is a bleedin’ saviour. The buses aren’t just clean, too. They’re spacious and new and nice and shiny. There’s enough room for those with buggies or wheelchairs.
Maybe it’s because they’re basically running one of the city’s most beloved of services, but the drivers are always really cheerful and nice, so make sure you thank them when you get off the bus. My nan always said you could tell a lot about people from how they treat bus drivers.
Of course, my nan was a raging racist who thought Hitler might have had a point (she’s on my non-​Jewish side, obviously) so it doesn’t do well to dwell on her philosophies too long.
The Metroshuttle is a God-​send, quite frankly. I mean, let’s face it, nobody wants to walk all the way to the Hilton in their posh dress, in the rain, do they? Nope, so hop on the Number 2 down the side of Cornerhouse and you’ll be there in a jiff, still looking fabulous as ever. Bellissimo!

If you want to get a strong grasp of The Rainy City without splashing out on a guided tour, the Metroshuttle travels back and forth across the city centre. There’s three different routes available, service runs seven days a week and even better, admission is free.
No 1 route covers Piccadilly Station to Portland Street, Chinatown, St Anne’s Square, King Street and John Dalton Street to Bridge Street.
No 2 route covers Victoria Station to Deansgate, Quay street, Castlefield and Oxford Road to Piccadilly.
No 3 route covers Salford Central to New Quay Street, Peter Street, Albert Square, Oxford Street, Princess Street, Whitworth Street to Piccadilly.
If you’ve just missed a bus, don’t worry, new ones come along every 5 – 10 minutes. In true British style however, you should expect delays in rush hour but when service is free, it would be mean to grumble!
