After being«glutened» by Costa at the hospital, I decided to come here and get some food I know would be gluten free, to try and relieve my symptoms. I am not the biggest fan of Mcdonalds but one thing I do know is they do work very closely with Coeliac UK and as I just needed something to eat, hopefully to releive my symptoms, I decided to come here after a shop around ASDA, what is also located in the complex. This store also has a drive through service, which was the service I used on my visit, It started off quite weird as despite being the only car in sight, and a member of staff being at the window, ready to take my order, I did had to wait a while for him to take it. He eventually took my order of Cheeseburger and Fries, Cheeseburger with no bun of course, with tomato sauce, I got this after being told these products are gluten free by the head office. When I got to the other counter, I was shocked for them to tell me to park up my car and wait, normally a drive through has the food ready but this didn’t, I understand they probably were making it without the bun, to avoid me being«glutened» again. It left me wondering if I had to walk to the window or if they would come to me, eventually they came to me and brought my order. This was very good value, costing as little as £2.08. Portion size was very good but from somewhere like Mcdonalds and the price, this is actually okay. They didn’t give me the bun, which was good however they put gerkins on my burger, I didn’t ask for them however I wish I did! They added a nice flavour too it and I am glad that they did however I am disappointed that they didn’t ask me! I eventually thought they had made a mistake, by not providing me with the sauce I asked however they had put it on my burger, I was still a little upset they didn’t provide me with sachets however. Next time I visit Mcdonalds, I will ask for a Double Cheeseburger as it wasn’t much to eat without the bun but it was good value and a relativly quick service, the store is in a good location so I give 3 stars. The only reason stopping me giving more is that they made me park up and I was left to be confused, and my server was a little ignorant at first and that they put Gerkins on my burger(I did enjoy the flavour, but I would of prefered if they would of asked me)
