Holland and Barrett

One of my favorite shops. They have massive varieties of food supplement and organic snacks. They are on sales now and lots of customers can be seen on the shop.

I’ve got to say that although Holland and Barrett is a chain, their customer service, knowledgable staff and general friendliness is second to none.
I’ve never really lived anywhere that has independent health food stores (Portland I imagine has them on every street corner like we have Starbucks), so don’t really have anything to compare them to but their range of supplements and teas are the reason that keeps me going back.
They regularly do the «penny sale» which is basically buy one get one for a penny across a large range of mix and match items and is definitely worth keeping an eye out for if you want to stock up on regular tablets. I always find the Manuka honey to be a great purchase along with a big vat of tablets and this will keep me going for a few months.
Overall, I feel Holland and Barrett tries to act like an independent store while also delivering as big a range of products as possible. When it comes to health products, this is quite a good thing to have on as many high streets as possible.

Holland and Barrett mainly sells supplements and vitamins and has an entire wall devoted to them. It also stocks healthy food including cereals, nuts, dried fruit, herbal teas, Soya milk, and snacks.
The staff are usually quite helpful and can help to identify the correct supplements for your needs. It is often cheaper to buy in bulk and they sometimes have special offers on popular products.
This shop also has a section with some fresh foods including chilled juices and vegetarian sausage rolls.

The health food store that sells a herbal remedy for most things! Selling all types of vitamins and supplements you can think of, Holland and Barrett also sell seeds, nuts and berries that are supposed to be good for you! Along with all of that you can but slimming pills and muscle boost tablets amongst a remedy of other supplements! Most of the time they are advertising huge savings on a full range of products. You can speak to one of the team and they will advise you on what you should take and purchase etc.
