Forget your Café Neros, keep your Starbucks with its branded cups(chai latte aside) this is my favourite place for a hot beverage in Manchester. Yes I’m aware that its just a stand on the side of the road. Yes, the location isn’t exactly Notting Hill. But lets face it pretension aside the first sip from the 2p plastic cup from this place will have your tastebuds rocketing to seventh heaven in quick time!(Whatever happened to the Quicktime media player by the way? Wasn’t it much better than the windows media player which kept breaking down? hmmmm anyway…) Kasmiri tea is as close as it gets to a hot beverage equivalent of coitus. It’s amazing whether you have it hot or cold, check. It’s soothing AND energetic, check.(If that makes sense) And best of all with all its spices and dry fruits, it’s a messy concoction of endorphin induced bliss, check. There really isn’t much else to say to be honest. You simply stop off on stockport road, park up in the Lidl carp park on the Stanley grove cross road(you don’t wanna get a ticket parking on stockport road!) jump out order a Kashmiri tea(or four) at £1.30/cup and off you pop. Word of warning, may cause random bouts of «Oooh I could murder a Kashmiri tea right now» Which is fine by me as I’m never far enough not to be able to quench my thirst for it. Not so much if you reside further away. However, as if it were a dreamy secluded beach in Thailand I want to keep this place to my self. So, yes check it out but if you don’t then that’s ok too.
